Every child has a story. Unfortunately, their voices often go unheard. The foundation Pasa la Voz and its Dutch partner foundation Hoedje van Papier give kids a stage to voice their thoughts, ideas, opinions and dreams.

Pasa la Voz (which can be translated to Spread the Word) is a foundation that works in Cusco, Peru. Pasa la Voz brings together local organizations that focus on underprivileged and/or neglected kids. Kids from this network come to Pasa la Voz to participate in multimedia workshops. At the end of the workshop, the kids will publish their own kids (street) magazine and will be have made several video documentaries. Each edition has two different publications: one in Spanish/English and the other in Dutch. The kids can therefore demonstrate to a local, national and international public their abilities, opinions, visions and dreams.

In the workshops the kids do not only learn practical skills, but also learn to research themes that they choose themselves, which teaches them to view their world critically, voice their opinion and seek their own answers and solutions. Stimulating creativity and enhancing their confidence and self-esteem are a few of the key objectives of the workshops.Girls photographing and filming
